How we measure it
We record the moment the screen turns green and the moment your input lands, both on the same high-resolution browser clock, and take the difference. We never estimate reaction from frame counts, which would round your score to whole frames.
Scores are browser-estimated, so they depend on your hardware. A 360Hz monitor with a wired mouse has genuinely lower display and input latency than a 60Hz laptop, so we show your display context next to your score rather than pretend the numbers are identical across setups. Train on the same machine and track the trend, that is what matters.
Why reaction time matters in game
Faster, more consistent reaction is the floor under every duel: peeking, flicking onto a target, and reacting to a push all start here. It will not fix crosshair placement or game sense, but it removes a ceiling. Train your flick aim, see the leaderboard, or get AI coaching that turns your VOD weaknesses into a drill plan.
